Saint Lucia · Carnival Season 2027
Soca at sunrise, steelpan under the stars and a Parade of the Bands that turns the whole island into a moving canvas.
Countdown to Saint Lucia Carnival
A Carnival like no other
Saint Lucia is famous for its soaring Pitons, golden beaches and warm Caribbean hospitality. During Carnival the island comes alive in an entirely different way.
This is an exhilarating celebration of music, movement, creativity and culture, where the streets pulse with soca, calypso, steelpan and the unmistakable rhythms of Dennery Segment. From energetic fetes and live performances to pageantry and community celebrations, every event offers a way into the real spirit of the island.
The festivities culminate in the spectacular Parade of the Bands, when the roads become a moving canvas of dazzling costumes, vivid colour and infectious energy. Masqueraders dance behind the elaborately designed bands while the route fills with spectators.
Saint Lucia Carnival is more than an event. It is an invitation to connect, celebrate and experience the island at its most vibrant.
Why you will love it
Join a band, collect your costume and cross the stage on parade day with thousands of masqueraders around you.
Soca, calypso, steelpan and Dennery Segment, from beachside fetes to the Panorama finals in Castries.
Green fig and saltfish, Friday night at Gros Islet, cocoa estates in the hills and creole warmth everywhere.
When Carnival is over, unwind with breathtaking Piton views, soothing sulphur springs and pristine golden sands, the perfect way to rest, recover and rejuvenate.
1 to 21 July 2027
Calypso tents open across the island and the first beach fetes light up Rodney Bay.
Steelpan orchestras battle for the crown. The single most moving night of the season.
Groovy and power finals, plus the Queen of the Bands pageantry in full costume.
Set your alarm and get ready for paint, powder and oil in the dark, dancing from four in the morning until sunrise.
Two days of street parade in elaborate full costumes with feathers and jewels, where carnival bands, music trucks and judging fill the streets.
Feel the energy
J'ouvert is where Carnival begins in earnest. Paint, powder, a rhythm section on a flatbed truck and thousands of strangers who will not be strangers by sunrise.
The road, the pan, the pitons
Good to know
The season runs from 1 to 21 July 2027, with J'ouvert and the two days of Parade of the Bands closing the festival in the third week. We recommend a minimum seven to ten night package.
You do not have to be in a band to enjoy Saint Lucia Carnival. Many guests watch the parade, attend the fetes and enjoy Panorama. Being a spectator is just as enjoyable, but being part of a band will take you to another level.
Our packages include return flights, transfers and hotel stays. A £75 per person deposit is payable to confirm your booking. Full payment is usually due approximately 12 to 14 weeks before departure.
