The Pitons
The majestic twin peaks which sores 798 meters above sea level are a site to behold. Magical beautiful and majestic and seen from many angles of the and making the best and most romantic back drop.
For the more courageous and adventurous these Pitons can be climbed, but this is not for the faint hearted. A hike up the Pitons is only for the fit and adventurous. Once you have reached the top, the site is like no other which will stay in your memory forever.
Marigot Bay
Placed just South of Castries these shores have been a backdrop in a number of moves due to its idyllic vibrant colours. Marigot Bay is a romantic setting with a small beach area which is quiet enough for the perfect escape. The area has shops and restaurants for you to take a pew or walk around, what ever takes your fancy. The area is also accessible by water taxi.
Sulphur Springs
Located in the town of Soufriere, the Sulphur Springs is the Caribbean’s only drive-in-volcano. An interesting visit which educates you on the history of the volcano. There is also a sulphur spring where you can bathe in the lather which omits form the volcano. A bath in the spring promises to heal most skin ailments or provide eternal youth. This must be worth a visit to roll back a few years.
Gros Islet street party
Gros Islet Fish fry and street part takes place every Friday and is a must do when you visit St Lucia. Visited by the tourists and locals alike, they come in droves to experience the amazing sea food cooked and presented by the locals to show off their true culinary skills. You can sit and eat whilst listening to the latest tune being played by the sound system or you can join in the party and dance the night away.
Anse Chastanet
Worth a visit if you love to snorkel or dive. These waters are filled with the richness of colourful coral and sea life which will keep you in the water for hours on ends. An amazing place to spend your time, you will never be bored as you watch the swarm of sea life surround you. When you want to come up for a break you can visit the on-site restaurant or bar. There is also a dive shop to hire equipment.
Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens
The botanical gardens boast 6 acres of exotic foliage and flowers plus of course the Diamond Falls waterfall which changes colour due to the mix of volcanic minerals that flow down the falls.
A visit here will not only take you on a refreshing exploratory walk, you can also dip into the mineral baths or dine at the Old Mill & Waterwheel Restaurant.
